"Thomas De Grey Walsingham, 6TH Baron (1843-1919), was born July 29 1843. He was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge, and succeeded his father in 1870. He was an enthusiastic entomologist and sportsman, and for some years travelled widely, making collections of specimens of all sorts, many of which he presented to the natural history section of the British Museum. In 1876 he was made a trustee of the British Museum; he was also a fellow of many learned societies and high steward of the university of Cambridge. He died Dec. 3 1919.
